What: The Oystermen Seafood Bar and Kitchen
In a nutshell: British oysters and seafood in Covent Garden
Summing it all up: After a 10 month residency in South Kensington, the oyster experts have found a permanent home in Covent Garden to serve up the shellfish every which way, as well as heaps of British seafood, wine, champagne and a very attractive Happy Hour offer…
Nothing quite screams the good life like tucking into champagne and oysters for a tenner, which you’ll now be able to do when The Oystermen open their first permanent spot in Covent Garden this summer.
The seafood specialists, who have been building a loyal fanbase during their ten month residency in South Kensington's The Sampler, will be moving into their longterm home on Henrietta Street with the aim to highlight seafood from all over the country. That'll include a healthy selection of top-flight oysters served every which way. Opt for buffalo barbecued, Cajun-battered or just freshly shucked for the unmistakeable taste of the sea.
Smart seafood fans will definitely want to time at least part of their visit to fall within Bubbles n’ Oysters Happy Hour from 3-5pm when you’ll be able to get six oysters and a glass of Crémant du Bourgogne fizz for an *exceptionally* reasonable £10.
There’s plenty on offer outside of the oysters - mussels, south coast crab, shellfish platters, daily fresh fish specials and home-cured, smoked and pickled fish like Whiskey and Oak Smoked Trout.
