D&D to open Aster, Nordic restaurant in Victoria’s dining quarter Nova

Victoria is set to become something of a foodie destination later this year when the construction around the station finally (finally!) ends, and we’re rewarded for our patience with a stunning new dining quarter. Aster, a Nordic restaurant from D&D London, will be one of the restaurants setting up shop there.

Aster will be divided into a more casual cafe section and a sit-down restaurant split across two floors, where they’ll be serving up a range of Nordic delicacies. In the cafe and deli, you’ll be able to get traditional cinnamon pastries or open sandwiches of cured salmon on rye, plus fish roe, pickled herring and wild berries.

Meanwhile, up in the restaurant, there’ll be more refined dishes on offer, including juniper-smoked turbot with leeks, and traditional meatballs a la Lindstrom with capers and beets. If you’re feeling extra-strong of stomach and want to tackle the chilly weather the traditional way, you can take on a fish roe and blini tasting menu that comes with a selection vodka and aquavit pairings. There’ll also be an outdoor terrace for the warmer months, and a food store.

Aster will be opening at Nova, 150 Victoria Street, SW1E 5LB early next year. Follow Aster on Twitter @asterrestaurant and on Instagram @asterrestaurant.
