Angela Hartnett's Italian deli Pastificio have amped up their usual home dining option for the big day. Get fresh Italian bread, olives and Parma ham to start; a tray of freshly made pasta and a sauce, followed by a tiramisu and accompanied by a bottle of red or white wine. Also in North London French mustard folk La Maison Maille have teamed up with London master butchers Godfreys for an extravagant dine-in dinner for two. Get a T-Bone Florentine steak and a jar of Maille black truffle mustard for £79.98. Available on a first-come-first-served basis there are just 100 available. It is available in-store at Godfreys in Highbury Barn or online.

Sharing is caring at Butchies where their belated Valentine's Day sharing menu on Friday 14 February is £15 each and includes a giant sandwich of two fried chicken fillets coated in chilli and cacao shake in a heart-shaped bun.

Taking your Valentine out to Greggs might be a make or break moment in any relationship, but this year they're transforming some of their shops with candelabras, fresh flowers, linen tablecloths and romantic music.

Get some alfresco action at Chiltern Firehouse where you can dine in their courtyard ordering the new seasonal Fruits de Mer platter at £110 for two. Feeling the chill? Try one of their four hot toddies too. 

Sip on a complimentary rose petal infused Negroni Rosato at Bar Termini Centrale where Dandy's Dan Wilson is sereving up Cacio e Pepe and Sage & thyme roasted flanc with pickled black trumpets. 

Vegetarians are well looked after at The Shed, Rabbit and Nutbourne restaurants where The Gladwins's Vegetarian Valentine's Day sharing menu includes Wiltshire Truffle Ravioli, Grey Chanterelles, Jerusalem Artichoke, Parsley Crumb, Reindeer Moss and Pine Oil.
