When the temperature rises in London, one sure way to beat the heat is grabbing a table in one of these bars and ordering up a load of boozy, frozen drinks.

ALTFrozen Paloma - The Folly

Its Rose Retreat features blush cocktails including a frozen take on the drink of the moment - the Paloma - made with El Jimador Tequila, freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave syrup and London Essence Rosemary & Grapefruit tonic.

Red Lion and sun frozen margaritaasFrozen Margaritas - Red Lion and Sun

avocado margaritas at el pastorFrozen avocado margaritas at El Pastor

Where: Borough Market and Coal Drops Yard

Need to know: If there’s anything that encapsulates weekend brunch more than this drink, then we’d like to see it. There’s also a spiced mango version, but this pale green margarita is really the one you want.

prosecco slushy at pastaioProsecco slushy at Pastaio

Where: Soho, Westfield

Need to know: Obviously the pasta’s great at Stevie Parle’s Pastaio restaurants but, honestly, we’d go there just for the drink. Most specifically for the Prosecco slushies. They regularly change the recipe to make them seasonally appropriate - right now there’s a cherry and grappa version on offer.
