Featuring hand-painted stripes of pigmented cocoa butter, this Paul A Young milk chocolate Easter egg is quite the Paschal vision. Made from single origin, sustainable Colombian milk chocolate, it's filled with solid chocolate mini eggs.

The Ethical one
Selfridges
If you're lactose intolerant, can't eat eggs, or are looking for a vegan Easter egg that still has that 'creamy' chocolate taste, then this is the ethical egg for you. It's made in Cornwall by bean to bar producer Chocolarder which sources its cocoa beans direct from the farmers.

The cookie dough-filled one
Cake or Death
If you can't decide between Easter biscuits and Easter eggs, these from Dalston-based Cake or Death should hit both spots. Dark chocolate covers spheres of cookie dough with each box containing three Biscoff Choc Chip Cookie Dough and three Double Choc Salted Caramel eggs with a gooey salted caramel centre.

Obviously, you can expect Claridge's Easter egg to be a thing of beauty. Made from the finest Valrhona milk, white or dark chocolate each egg takes three days to craft – from hand-tempering and moulding to assembling and wrapping. Inside you'll discover a feast of hand-made praliné gull’s eggs.

The piggy one
Maison de Francois
OK, it's not strictly speaking an egg, but this Valrhona Cochon de Pâques was too cute not to include here. Available at Maison de Francois in St James it's on sale until Easter Sunday. The crisp shell of the pig is made from Opalys 33% white chocolate and inside is a house-made hazelnut gianduja made with Jivara 40% milk chocolate using Piedmont hazelnuts.
