It's been closed ever since the first lockdown, but now The Beaumont hotel in Mayfair is finally reopening - and there are a fair few changes as it re-emerges.
The hotel, once run by Corbin & King, is just a few steps from Oxford Street and both the bar and restaurant have always been pretty handy for escaping the shopping masses (who also appear to be well and truly back, so you will definitely need an escape). Here's a rundown of some of the changes they've been working on:
La Magritte Bar - this has actually moved, and it's now in what was The Cub Room. It'll specialise in bourbons, American whiskies and cocktails.
The Colony Grill has a new chef, Ben Boeynaems, who actually started in February 2020 and is now finally back in the kitchen. There's completely new artwork in this room too.
The Lounge is where the bar used to be - this is a brand new all-day dining space (and it's where they'll have afternoon tea).
The Terrace - this is a brand new, covered (and heated) space outside the hotel, for drinks and snacks.
So you can look forward to all that plus lots more if you're actually staying over in the hotel. So, if you are making a return to Oxford Street this summer, this could be well worth a look.
