The Patate comes to Kentish Town with their beef bourguignon in a bun

What: The Patate

In a nutshell: Beefy French pop-up goes permanent

Summing it all up: They've been serving up their beef bourguignon buns across town and now The Patate are about to settle down with their first permanent restaurant in Kentish Town.

The low-down

We were sad to hear of the demise of Beef and Brew, a restaurant we loved in both its Kentish Town and Haggerston locations. But as is the way in London, it's never too long before a new restaurant appears in a space that another has vacated. According to The Kentish Towner, it's the turn of The Patate, which is taking over the Kentish Town Beef and Brew site.

The Patate are best known for their current Camden Market street food operation and various Kerb locations around town, with the beef bourguignon in a bun being the main attraction (and we can see why). Also on offer should be their French Poutine (chips, cheese and gravy - something we can never get enough of).

So Beef and Brew is at least being replaced with something equally beefy. We'll have more info closer to the opening.
